The film

The file that never left

Forty-one seconds about where your PDFs go when you click Upload, and what happens when they don't. Press play with the sound on.

It starts with a file that matters. Most PDF sites want it uploaded first. Off it goes, to a server you will never see. Wait. What if it never left your device? OnDevicePDF does the work inside your browser. On sealed tools, your browser blocks every way out. Merge. Three files become one PDF. Split. Pull out just the pages you need. Compress. A smaller file. The text stays sharp. Sign. Your signature never leaves your hands. Redact. Removed for good, not just covered up. Protect. Locked with a password only you know. Now switch off the Wi-Fi. Still works. OnDevicePDF. Your files stay with you. 38 of 39 tools run right in your browser. Free, no account.

41 seconds. Sound on. Made live by your browser.

There is no video file

Nothing you just watched was downloaded. Each frame is drawn by code on a canvas, and every note and sound effect is synthesized by your browser's audio engine as it plays. Open your browser's Network panel and press play: no video or audio file is fetched.

That is the whole idea behind OnDevicePDF. Your computer is fast enough to do the work, so the work happens here. 38 of our 39 tools process your files entirely in your browser. The one exception, the PDF Editor, is labelled on every page where it matters.
