Privacy first
Your PDFs never leave your device
OnDevicePDF is designed so your documents stay local. No uploads. No accounts. No server-side storage.
Our privacy promise
- Your PDFs are processed entirely in your browser.
- Files are never uploaded, stored, or inspected by us.
- No accounts, sign-ins, or hidden backups.
- Close the tab and everything is gone.
How on-device processing works
All PDF operations — merge, split, rotate, stamp, convert — execute locally using your browser's compute and memory. Nothing is sent to a backend.
This means your data stays under your control, even when working with sensitive or confidential documents.
Analytics (minimal and optional)
We collect basic usage analytics such as page views and device type to understand general usage patterns.
- No document contents are tracked
- No filenames or metadata are collected
- Analytics can be blocked without affecting functionality
Offline and installable
After your first visit, core assets are cached so you can continue working offline. Installing OnDevicePDF keeps tools available even when connectivity is unreliable.
All processing still happens on your device. Installing the app doesn't change how privacy works.
Data retention
We don't store your PDFs. Period.
The only data that persists is browser cache (for offline use) and optional analytics (page views, no file data).
You can clear cache anytime through your browser settings.
Third-party services
OnDevicePDF uses Google Analytics for basic usage metrics (optional and blockable).
No PDF data is shared with any third party. Ever.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, changes will be posted here with a visible notice.
